Honda's Strategic Testing Approach for the 2024 MotoGP Season
In a bid to capitalize on MotoGP's new concession system, Honda is set to maximize testing opportunities throughout the 2024 season, scheduling up to 22 private tests, as revealed by Motorsport.com. Following lacklustre performances in the previous year, both Honda and Yamaha, the sole Japanese contenders in the championship, have gained advantages through agreements with other manufacturers and governing bodies. Apart from ongoing engine development, Honda and Yamaha can conduct unlimited private test days with their race riders. Honda's primary focus on testing is evident, with an initial plan for an extensive private test calendar.
